In terms of world domination they are only really leaving the tutorial, sadly it wont get much further than that We're just yet to see many New World fights of that level, they can exist thoughĪlso worth remembering that Naz mostly spawned in a pretty low level area world wise, other than Theocracy, and has soooo far to go world conquest wise, it may get considerably harder later. The black scripture for example, even without the godkin, could take on a whole heap of death knights in a rather cool fight.
If they had level 30 defense and Brain and Gazef could down a bunch, they'd kinda be more just yardsticks for 'this person is decent' rather than a yardstick for 'this person is very exceptional and might be a player omg its def a player this time' The fact that it doesnt fall into either category makes it feel really uniqueĭeath knights though feel about right, they're the strongest spammable unit and while they are very strong, they have low offense meaning people like Scama can put up visually interesting fights. Its beyond being the strongest person around because its sooo much stronger, but it isnt quite Saitama level because in theory certain things could put up at least a minimal fight Naz isnt untouchable but Naz isnt defeatable. Still, I just love the unconventional and kind of random narrative too much I think I agree, there would be more visual tension if the new world was at least able to take on low-mid Naz forces at times.

Grow up. I still love Overlord But i think it could have been just a tad bit more interesting If the stakes were raised just a bit higher. I feel that having a single death knight be able to defeat 4 mithril ranked adventurers (the second strongest rank in the world) is a bit overkill, since ainz is able to Mads produce them.īut Maybe thats just me. You could have raised the average level of adamantite adventurers so that they didnt feel as useless when it comes to the denizens of nazarick. Allowing them to atleast battle death knights and still lose to the named characters of nazarick.
I would have personally placed characters such as gazef, brain, and remedios around level 40-50. I mean that you could still have the power fantasy aspect and still raise the tension just a tad bit by changing the strength levels around. I know that Overlord is meant to be a power fantasy and focus more on world building but i really feel like the world could have been just a tad bit more interesting If the average strength level for the new world was just a bit higher.
